DIY Live is not going to be updated for the next 2 weeks. I am in finals mode, and have to study hard for them. Wish me luck. I will resume on around December 10. Keep checking back, I have not forgotten about my fun weblog.

Here is a good DIY project from a guy that took one of those disposable digital cameras for about $11, and put a USB port on it. These cameras are about a 1.3 megapixel camera. The second link has all the information you need, as well as the software you need to access [...]

Here is a DIY project that lets you solder those tiny surface mount pins on a microcontroller. You can use solder paste on the board. You place the component exactly in the right location, and then stick it in your toaster oven. It will activate the solder in the paste, and it [...]

I have said before that I used to work for NASA in Houston, Tx at Johson Space Center. One of my jobs while there was to work at Ellington Field, which is where JSC keeps all of their airplanes. They have a wide variety of planes that are based there, including the Super [...]

Well, here is yet another cornell project. Why am I still using them? Because they are cool, and complex, and I really want to make one of these. They use an atmel mega 32 microcontroller. They program the entire game, including the video output to control a television. This is [...]
