I have been in awe of the commotion on the internet as of late from anything involving an altoids can and an iPod. I have decided to come up with the top ten uses for the altoids can being integrated with the iPod. It does not matter how simple the idea is, if it has the words altoids, and ipod in it, it is a success. I came up with this list of “practical” uses of this can and an ipod. (Note this is just for fun, so please no one be offended, and yes, Please don’t tell me that there is not actually ten real projects here. That is the point.) I do have a real top ten list which can be found here [Link]
1. you can run down the street with an altoids can in one hand, and the ipod in the other proclaiming your love for the two greatest inventions of all time.
2. If you get tired, you could carry them in the same hand.
3. You could buy a can of altoids, and dump the worthless mints, because you are there for the real treasure.
4. This is the best idea of all. You can put the ipod IN the tin can
5. You can put your headphones in the can, and make a portable altoids stereo system.

6. You can put a battery in the can, and connect it to your iPod via USB. (Note you could also steal someone elses idea, and sell a kit for this. The plans are sacred, and the mindless masses can not figure out how to use a 5 v voltage regulator. Think of the potential money you could make).
7. My favorite is you can put a 9 volt battery in series with 2 1.5 volt batteries and make 12 volts. WOW!!! And there was much rejoicing and copying on the internet
8. You can drill a hole in both ends of the can. (the long end for you non technical types), then you run your iPod power wire through the holes, and you have an altoids powering device. Note, this can also be done with the headphones, or the usb cable
9. You can cut a rectangular hole in the top of the can, and slide your new iPod into the hole. You have made a docking bay.

10. you can cut the can into tiny strips, and wrap it around the antenna of your new griffins radio transmitter and up the ouput signal.
Send me your ideas for altoids/ipod uses, and I will make a compilation of them. Send them to lipscgr@gmail.com
