DIY Flash Diffuser

I have done a lot of photography in my day. I used to be a photographer for Auburn University’s Glomerata (yearbook). I shot a lot of the football games. Here is an example of a photograph that I took.

I used a Nikon D100 with a fixed 300mm 2.8 lens. It was a fantastic lens. I probably used a 2x teleconverter also. I do like Nikon cameras, but I actually own a Canon 10D. It is a 6.3 megapixel, but I sadly don’t own any pro lenses. It really hurts to take pics with substandard lenses after using pro equipment. Anyway, I have a Canon flash, and have always wanted a diffuser for it. I use a simple little trick. I point my flash to the ceiling, and have a 3×5 index card attached to the back with a rubberband. It is like a bounce card. Anway, here is a link to a guy that has made a diffuser out of a 1/2 gallon milk jug. It is definately kinda ghetto, but most DIY projects are. I really like the idea, and think it would work really well. Here is a pic of his diffuser.
