New Microcontroller Programmer

Well, my Fiancee gave me the new microcontroller programmer that I wanted for Christmas. I got the PICkit 1 Flash starter kit. It comes with the standard 8-pin PIC12F675, as well as one 16F microcontroller. It only cost around $30, and is USB. It is a great deal. I have not had a chance to use it yet, but plan on doing it soon. I at least passed Microbiology, but I have a Path test just one week after coming back to my classes. It is really lame, so I have not had a huge chance to update. I plan on giving updates on my microcontroller as I learn how to use it. We can all learn together. If any of you get one of these, let me know. I will be glad to help out as much as I can.

Cool! I got a microcontroller kit too. I got an Atmel AT90S2313. Like the one here: http://www.futurlec.com/ATDevBoard.shtml
Really? That is awesome. You will have to let me know if you do any cool projects with it.
My wife got me the exact same thing for Christmas. I’m finding it a little difficult to get started so I am looking for some sample projects to build to get my feet wet. I’d like to see you post a project or two here.

Cool Tim, I will get some projects out as soon as I can. I haven’t even had a chance to play with it yet because I have been studying for a Pathology Test. If I can just get through this second year, I should have much more time on my hands. I will def. post any projects that I do though. I would like to kinda make an entire tutorial about it eventually
Whhere is a good reliable source to get this at online or in a store?
Aaron, I got this at microchip.com. You can find the link in the article. I think it is best to get it straight from microchip. Are you thinking of getting one?
