Dan from instructables.com made a POV (Persistance of Vision) toy that you attach to your shoes. He has a circuit board, and a row of LEDs that he controls with a microcontroller. As you walk the LEDs change to form a word in the air. You can see this project as well as others in my projects section. Feel free to join www.instructables.com/diylive and submit your projects.
