DIY LED Lighting Guide

Matthew over at superpositioned.com has written a very good LED lighting guide. He gives several good uses for LEDs, and gives some good circuits to drive them. The article includes why LEDs should be used, how to power LEDs using a DC source, how to power LEDs using an AC source, how to dim LEDs, and where to purchase them.

The above picture shows how to power 25 LEDs with an AC voltage.

I have had many people ask me how do you power more than just one LED. They may be building a 3 LED circuit. The above schematic shows two simple ways to power either three 3.6 volt, 25mA LEDs, or how to power six of them. The voltage source is 12 volts, and the resistor is a 50 ohm 1/4 watt resistor. Anyway, I found this article very useful.

LED lighting is becoming increasingly popular in fish tanks, case mods, and even household lighting. This article intends to be a comprehensive guide to their advantages, powering them, and creating dimming solutions.

I want to thank Brandon from zerosign.net for helping me out. I went to see my fiancee this weekend, and I had a final on last Friday. I also have a really hard Neuroscience test on this Friday, so I have not had much time to update. I have found a few bloggers that will hopefully work part time. They should be posting soon, and I will let them introduce themselves.
