If you have an Audio/Video cable from an old camcorder, you can use that for your ever precious gadget…the IPOD Video. This is a straight- forward connection, no need to solder or use any tools. Basically, A/V Cables has 3 RCA plugs, colored Yellow for Video and Red and White for the Right and Left Audio channels. The other end is a Baby plug which is used in most headphones including the IPOD.

All you have to do is to connect the RED RCA plug of your A/V cable to the Composite Video Input in your Television ( colored Yellow ), The YELLOW and WHITE plugs of your cable goes to the RED and WHITE Composite Audio Inputs. The Baby plug goes to your IPOD headphone jack. At this point,Check your connections. Change your TV’s setting to Video and play any movie from your IPOD. Then it will ask you ” TV ON or TV OFF”, choose TV ON, and from here you will see your movie in the box. I would suggest that you set your IPOD volume in the middle and adjust the volume from your Television set. Link
