This is a project I made which i forgot to post here. A simple DIY Wireless ISP (WISP) using cheap and readily available materials. A plastic trashcan is used as the enclosure of the Access Point (AP). To supply power using the RJ45 cable, I made a POE (injector and tap) connected to a voltage regulator at the end point. The regulator is also inside the trashcan. I also needed to increase the range of my signal, so an external antenna was connected to the AP. so if i build one of them and hook the net into the box i can start a wisp just like that?
What do you use to allow access for your users billing etc?
