Wireless Transmitter and Receiver

Filed under: Uncategorized — Glenn Domingo on March 25, 2006 @ 10:47 am

Refik Hadzialic built his own Wireless Transmitter and Receiver device using RLP & TLP 315 RF modules. The circuit is simple and uses a few other components to make it work. The modules are broadcasting on 315 Mhz UHF. The supplied power required for the transmitter is between 2 to 12 volts and 3 to 6 volts for the receiver. This is a good thing because you can just connect power for both devices in a USB port. Possible applications for this project is a DIY wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, a wireless harddrive maybe? The receiver and transmitter boards (RLP & TLP 315) are cheap RF modules manufactured by Laipac Technologies. A pair costs $11.95 at SparkFun Electronics. The frequency on which the receiver and transmitter pair works is 315 MHz, UHF (Ultra High Frequency) frequency range.
