Do-it-yourself projects and technology updates

Greg Update

Well, I am sorry that I have not had a chance lately to do any updates. I am still in my Internal Medicine rotation, which I really like. The past two weeks, I have been on ER. This past week, I have been doing clinics, which has been keeping me pretty busy. I am really starting to think that I want to go into Anesthesiology.

I have gotten into a new fun hobby. I have always been interested in airplanes, and I recently bought and built an electric model airplane. I got a plane called a Slow Stick.

I will when I get a chance do an article on building the plane. It is a beginner plane, and only has rudder and elevator, but it flies really good. I love it.

I am also intereted in doing a project using DC motors as a DC generator. That may be a while in the making, but hopefully I can write about it soon.

  8. Dude, I *just* saw your post. I’ve been wanting a plane for so long, I think I’m going to get a Slo-V for Xmas.

Very cool about the DC motor-generator thing. I’ve been toying with that idea as well. We are spot-on in our interests. Now if only you could get your ham license, we’d be clones.
